Shellscapes: Painting with Oysters (ages 6-10)

Shellscapes invites kids to explore color, texture, and imagination by painting on the inside of oyster shells. Drawing inspiration from the shells' natural shapes and surfaces, kids will create one-of-a-kind pieces that transform into miniature works of art.

Michaela Worosz, Manager of School and Studio Programs

Michaela Worosz (she/her) is a visual and fiber artist based in Buffalo, New York. In her role as Manager of School and Studio Programs at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, she draws on years of experience in museum education to guide learners of all ages in discovering visual expression, exploring new media, and engaging in hands-on making. Trained with a BA in Visual Art & New Media from SUNY Fredonia and an MA in Museum Studies from Buffalo State University, she applies her interdisciplinary background to design programs that merge art-making, observation, and storytelling.
