Bitmap Textiles Set of 4 Napkins
Bitmap Textiles-Designed by Susan Kare
This set of 4 Napkins is made from 100% organic cotton, double jacquard woven and is reversible.
Susan Kare is a pioneer of early graphic interface design. In the 1980's, she began designing fonts, icons and visual elements for the original Macinstosh operating system and applications. Kare designed this set of textiles for the Jaquard loom, an early example of computer-controlled machinery, operated with punch cards and invented by Joseph Jaquard in 1801.
This line of fine textiles celebrates the parallels between weaving and pixels; both rely on the idea of a grid spread across the surface of a medium.
